Global Stamping Friends July Blog Hop – Home Decor

Posted on

Welcome to another month full of fun projects made from Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world.  Right now you are visiting me, Jenn Charles @ BFF Stampers.  For July’s theme, we are making Home Decor items.  Today it is supposed to be 111° F!  That is very hot for my little town.  So we are at the beach!  I made a sign for my craft area that depicts my mood today.  I’m going to be sitting at the beach with my feet in the sand, RELAXING!

I am so glad that Mint Macaron has come back.  It goes perfectly with Smoky Slate and Bermuda Bay.  I got this inspiration from my shower curtain.  I’ve been wanting to make this for awhile now and this blog hop was just the push I needed to take the time to figure out how to do these chevrons.

I sponged all the pieces in Crumb Cake and used a Crumb Cake piece of cardstock for my backing.  The word is cut from the Large Letter Framelits in Crumb Cake and sponged also.  The little sand dollars are cut from the new Under the Sea Framelit Dies.

I hope you enjoyed my Home Decor item.  I know I do!  It’s so pretty!  These are my favorite colors for summer.

Next up is Sarah.  I know she is really going to WOW you with what she has created.  Below is a list of everyone in the hop.

Thanks for stopping by,
Your BFF,
Jenn

New Catalog goes LIVE today!!!!

Posted on

Today is the DAY!! The 2018-2019 Annual Catalog is LIVE!!!  If you have not received your catalog yet and do not have a demonstrator, contact me!  I will get you a catalog.  In my opinion, this is the best catalog yet!

Welcome to the Global Stamping Friends June Bloghop.  You are visiting Jenn Charles @ BFF Stampers.  Our theme this month is anything new!  Of course it is!  Today is the kick-off of the New Catalog!  I’m very excited if you can’t tell.

All the cards I make are the normal size.  They might be a fancy fold or a note card size or 3×3, as long as we sell the base, I’ll make the size.  The card I’m making today is from the Delightfully Detailed Memories & More Card Pack.  Stampin’ Up! has come out with card bases and envelopes that fit the 4×6 or 3×4 cards in the Memories & More Packs.  I’m so excited about that!  Here is my sample of a 4×6 card base using those cards.  This card has no ink or stamping on it!  The Memories & More card packs make it so easy to make a quick card.

Don’t you love these colors?  They are returning In-Colors, Mint Macaron and Blackberry Bliss.  So pretty!

I used a new punch called the Detailed Trio Punch and I cut the detailed laser cut flower from the aptly named Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper 🙂  It is white on one side and vanilla on the other.  It comes with 4 pieces of each of these 2 designs.

I hope you liked my card and visit all the people in the hop to see brand new products from the new catalog!

Up next is Karie Beglau.  I know she will have something amazing for you to see!

I’m on my way to our church retreat today for the weekend and it’s all about Choosing JOY!

Global Stamping Friends – Sketch Challenge!

Posted on

May the 4th be with you!  Just throwing that out there for some of my friends.  You know who you are!!! 😉

Hi BFF’s!  Doesn’t it feel like this year is just flying by?  It’s almost summertime!  I know in some areas it’s still snowing.  If that is you, I am very sorry.  What a winter it has been for some places around the world, but I can’t complain much here in San Diego, California.

Welcome to another blog hop with the Global Stamping Friends where demonstrators from all around the world are showcasing awesome Stampin’ Up! products!  This month we are working with a sketch.  I love sketch challenges.

Here is the sketch we are working with and here is what I came up with using some new, some retiring and some current products.  I really stuck to the sketch with the circle and stripes and accents.  I added some dimension with the Sparkle embossing folder.

I fell in love with this designer series paper called Painted With Love that is only available while supplies last.  The gold accents really caught my eye.  So I decided to stamp the circle and the sentiment using Versamark and heat embossing in Gold.  This circle came from a brand new not-yet-released stamp set called Swirly Frames.  It coordinates with the Circle and Square Framelits.  It will be available in the new catalog on June 1st so you’re getting a sneak peek. 🙂

I used a current bundle that will be carrying over into the new catalog.  It’s called Colorful Seasons.  The sentiment and the flowers are from this bundle.  The colors I used were Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride and Rich Razzleberry.

I added a thin strip of the designer series paper inside the card also to finish it off. 🙂

I hope you liked my card. Next up is Tricia.  I know you will enjoy what she has come up with.

Thanks for stopping by.  Below is a list of everything I used today on this card except for the Swirly Frames.  If you’d like to shop with me, click HERE and use the Hostess Code BNQEJNBK when you check out and I will send you a surprise in the mail.

Retiring IN-Colors and Easter Treats

Posted on

Another annual catalog is almost here so what exactly does that mean for us? Every year Stampin’ Up! comes out with another 5 brand new In-Colors so unfortunately these 5 will be expiring. Did you have a favorite from the 2016-2018 In-Colors? Mine changed throughout the last two years but I’m ending with Peekaboo Peach. It goes with everything!

The reason I’m already talking about the new catalog is because when the new comes in, the old goes out and that means getting them while supplies last! That means cardstock, ink pads, ink refills, and ribbons or embellishments are all gonna be going, going, gone very soon and I don’t want any of you missing out!

I made these adorable favors that I CASEd from Pootles. Here is a link to her video.

The measurements are:
Cardstock or Designer Series Paper: 11″ x 3 1/2″

Score on the LONG side at 1/2″, 1 1/4″, 9 3/4″, 10 1/2″

Score on the SHORT side at 3/4″, 1 1/2″, 2 1/4″, 3″

These are super easy to make multiples of and they are perfect for filling up with chocolate Easter eggs and putting into Easter baskets.

I used the Sale-a-Bration stamp set, Heartfelt Blooms to stamp all over the cardstock and also for the sentiment. The Sale-a-Bration freebies end on March 31st.  Stock up on your favorite in-colors and then get a FREE Sale-A-Bration item.  Stampin’ Up! has added even more items for FREE below.

I am also offering this as a TO-GO kit class. You will provide the stamps and ink…I will do all the cutting, punching and big shot work for you!  (Additional shipping cost of $4 or free with $15 order.)
