Global Stamping Friends July Blog Hop – Home Decor

Posted on

Welcome to another month full of fun projects made from Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world.  Right now you are visiting me, Jenn Charles @ BFF Stampers.  For July’s theme, we are making Home Decor items.  Today it is supposed to be 111° F!  That is very hot for my little town.  So we are at the beach!  I made a sign for my craft area that depicts my mood today.  I’m going to be sitting at the beach with my feet in the sand, RELAXING!

I am so glad that Mint Macaron has come back.  It goes perfectly with Smoky Slate and Bermuda Bay.  I got this inspiration from my shower curtain.  I’ve been wanting to make this for awhile now and this blog hop was just the push I needed to take the time to figure out how to do these chevrons.

I sponged all the pieces in Crumb Cake and used a Crumb Cake piece of cardstock for my backing.  The word is cut from the Large Letter Framelits in Crumb Cake and sponged also.  The little sand dollars are cut from the new Under the Sea Framelit Dies.

I hope you enjoyed my Home Decor item.  I know I do!  It’s so pretty!  These are my favorite colors for summer.

Next up is Sarah.  I know she is really going to WOW you with what she has created.  Below is a list of everyone in the hop.

Thanks for stopping by,
Your BFF,
Jenn

Retiring IN-Colors and Easter Treats

Posted on

Another annual catalog is almost here so what exactly does that mean for us? Every year Stampin’ Up! comes out with another 5 brand new In-Colors so unfortunately these 5 will be expiring. Did you have a favorite from the 2016-2018 In-Colors? Mine changed throughout the last two years but I’m ending with Peekaboo Peach. It goes with everything!

The reason I’m already talking about the new catalog is because when the new comes in, the old goes out and that means getting them while supplies last! That means cardstock, ink pads, ink refills, and ribbons or embellishments are all gonna be going, going, gone very soon and I don’t want any of you missing out!

I made these adorable favors that I CASEd from Pootles. Here is a link to her video.

The measurements are:
Cardstock or Designer Series Paper: 11″ x 3 1/2″

Score on the LONG side at 1/2″, 1 1/4″, 9 3/4″, 10 1/2″

Score on the SHORT side at 3/4″, 1 1/2″, 2 1/4″, 3″

These are super easy to make multiples of and they are perfect for filling up with chocolate Easter eggs and putting into Easter baskets.

I used the Sale-a-Bration stamp set, Heartfelt Blooms to stamp all over the cardstock and also for the sentiment. The Sale-a-Bration freebies end on March 31st.  Stock up on your favorite in-colors and then get a FREE Sale-A-Bration item.  Stampin’ Up! has added even more items for FREE below.

I am also offering this as a TO-GO kit class. We will be having treats and cake and there will be lots of fun give-aways!  I hope you can join me!

Host a party and you can earn your own rewards!  If you book a party for April before the end of March, I will give you a FREE ribbon of your choice!

Valentine treats and other Stampin’ Up! stuff

Happy Valentine’s Day!

My kids have their parties at school today so of course we made valentines to pass out to everyone.  My daughter Emily made hers from the January Paper Pumpkin.  I had her use a different ribbon because I wanted to hoard keep the ribbon that came with the kit for myself.  Metallic Edge ribbon, yes please! It’s so beautiful!  Here’s the kit and what is looks like according to the directions.  The refill kit is still available for purchase for Paper Pumpkin subscribers.  I think it could be used for any occasion.

Here’s what Emily did with hers.

We not only used the stamp set from this Paper Pumpkin but also used the stamp set from last year’s Valentine Paper Pumpkin set. I liked the saying: For an Amazing Friend.  This kit had 16 Valentines in it so we had to use more than one kit.  With the extras, I made gifts for my Awana kids for tonight.  We also altered the Paper Pumpkin box for her Valentine holder at school.

Alex made these easy Valentines for his Kindergarten class.

This morning was super busy packing all our valentine’s and party snacks and doing Emily’s hair.

After I dropped them off at school, I stopped by Duncan Donuts to buy these treats that will be waiting for them (if I don’t eat them first!).  I do not feed my kids donuts before school because I like their teachers and I want their teachers to continue to like me!  LOL

Paper Pumpkin is celebrating it’s 5 year anniversary!  I’m so excited to see the 5 year anniversary box with a FREE gift in it.  When you purchase a 3-month Paper Pumpkin subscription during Sale-A-Bration, you can receive a FREE Sale-A-Bration item!  It’s a win-win!

Starting on the 16th, three new must-have Sale-A-Bration items are coming out. Take a look here.  Here are a few samples I have already:

After the 16th, you can get these SAB items for FREE with a $50 or $100 order BUT if you can’t wait to have them, you can purchase them now in a demonstrator kit for $99.  You will receive $125 worth of product of your choice for just $99 in addition to FREE shipping!  You can add the new items in your kit and not have to wait to earn them, but only through the 15th!  Sign up here.

I pray you all have a fantastic Valentine’s Day.  We can’t wait to see what Daddy brings home for all of us!  Didn’t I tell you, Valentine’s Day is all about my expectations! LOL

Keep Crafting!
Your BFF,
Jenn

Global Stamping Friends – All about LOVE!

Posted on

Welcome to February Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop!  You are here at Jenn Charles @ BFF Stampers.  There are so many fun creations this month for our theme: LOVE!  So fitting for the month of February.

I’ve decided to go with a scrapbook page today to showcase the love between my twin daughters.  I’m feeling very nostalgic lately because they turned 17 last month and I’m realizing they won’t be here much longer.  They will be off to college and their own lives soon.

Here you can see a little peek of my hidden journaling.  I like to hide my journaling because I don’t like my handwriting so much.

I’ve used the Petal Palette Designer Series Paper, Memories & More cards and die cuts.  The colors are black, white, blushing bride, and silver glimmer.  I’ve also stamped in Smoky Slate on the heart.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my project.  Hop along and see the rest of the Friends from all over the World.  Up next is Karie Beglau.  There’s a full list of everyone below if you’d like to hop around randomly!
