We’ve been dying to go back to the beach this summer. It’s been hot and muggy in our little town and we are miserable! But summertime blues have got us down. Our van stopped working and we’ve been busy planning a huge garage sale this weekend as a fundraiser for my daughter’s funding to go on a 6 month mission trip!
I’m taking a break and playing with some greens today for the Casing The Catty Challenge. The designer series paper called Garden Lane is full of beautiful shades of green.
This week we are casing the Garden Lane DSP (use the colours of the DSP as inspiration and layouts from pages 36-38 and 40-41) – Garden Green, Mint Macaron, Mossy Meadow, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sea Foam, Whisper White from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue.
I’ve chosen to CASE the card on page 41. I’ve changed it up a bit by using a different stamp set.
I’ve used the octopus because it reminded me of the beach I’m missing. Also, I came across these old photos of my now 18 year olds from when they were 12 and holding this tiny octopus.
Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop for July. You are visiting Jenn Charles. This month’s theme is all about Travel!
I don’t travel much so this scrap page was a bit of a challenge for me. I knew I wanted to use these gorgeous flowers though and I’m planning a vacation to Hawaii next year for my 20th anniversary with my husband so I thought I’d make one for that! It’s never too early to start an album.
I’m calling this page, The World Awaits, because well, along with my husband and I, the world is awaiting our vacation! LOL.
This designer series paper is called Pressed Petals Specialty DSP and it has the most beautiful flowers on it. The best part is that it comes with 24 sheets instead of the regular 12 which means 4 of each 12×12 double sided pattern instead of only 2. I love everything about this paper.
Thank you for joining us this month. Next up is Danielle Bennenk or you can hop along to all the other scrapbookers joining us today down below.
Welcome to this month’s Stamp N’ Hop! You are visiting Jenn Charles and we are casing the Annual Catalog!
Our catalog is full of beautiful projects from a very talented design team. I am honored to once again use it to get an idea. I’ve chosen to CASE a package instead of a card this time because I needed to wrap a gift.
Choosing an idea from the catalog helps get the creativity going when I’m stuck with no idea! I love how the designer made this cute package for her 5 year old grandson. Even though I do not own this stamp set, I can take this idea and adapt it using something I do have.
I’ve used the Bird Ballad Suite to decorate a Mini Shipping Box. These boxes are adorable. They are 4″x3″x2 5/8″. They sell 8 boxes for $5. Here is my take on the box.
You can see how I CASEd her design in many ways. I used the Mini Shipping Box and wrapped the designer series paper around the box and tied a bow using twine. I used a square accent made from vellum on the top to frame my bird collage. I stamped and fussy cut out leaves for the corners where she has her gifts.
I hope you liked my alternate of the project on Page 63 of the catalog.
Next up is Linda Handford. I know she is going to have something delightful to share with us.
Welcome to the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop for July! You are visiting Jenn Charles with BFF Stampers and I am delighted that we are showing samples of the new In-Colors.
I got the In-Colors in a pre-order in May. I’ve played a little with a few of them. We made a very pretty Mother’s Day Card and box using the Rococo Rose with the To A Wild Rose stamp set at a stamp camp. The blue of the Seaside Spray is replacing the hole in my heart from the retired Soft Sky. And today I’m using the Purple Posy. The card I made today is CASEd (Copy and Share Everything) directly from our annual catalog on page 39.
I love how our catalogs are full of inspiration and cards we can copy. The Good Morning Magnolia Bundle makes it so easy to create a beautiful card and the purple of the magnolia flower on the card above really caught my eye. I never noticed all of the magnolia trees in my neighborhood before I got this stamp set. I used the Purple Posy Blends to color this flower. The scalloped linen ribbon and the faceted dots come in all 5 of the 2019-2021 In-Colors.
I used some Wink of Stella on the flower also to help bling it up but it is hard to see in the picture.
