Stampin’ Up!’s 30 Year Anniversary

Posted on

As you may have guessed, Stampin’ Up! is celebrating it’s 30th year of being in business. In fact, this week, demonstrators from around the world are all gathering together in Florida to celebrate!  It’s all because one woman never gave up on her dreams.  Her name is Shelli Gardner and she’s the co-founder of Stampin’ Up!  This company started in her home!  Because of her love of papercrafting, I get to make money, set my own hours and do what I love to do which is watch others enjoy it too.

Kylie’s challenge this month was to make a thank you card for Shelli telling her how much we appreciate her ambition and faith in starting this company.  I have so many friends I never would have met if it wasn’t for Stampin’ Up!  So here’s my card I’ll be sending out to Shelli.

I got a little out of my comfort zone on this card.  It has a lot of texture and “mess” as I would call it, but I kept thinking WWSD?  What would Shelli Do!?  She loves texture and she believes, more is better.  Once I got started I couldn’t stop!  I used the stamp set, All Things Thanks because as soon as I decided to make this card the phrase, Thanks for that thing you did was running through my mind.  It’s a perfect sentiment for what I want to tell Shelli.

Tip: You can color Rhinestones with Sharpie markers to make whatever color you need.

If you’d like to check out cards that other demonstrators made for Shelli then follow this link to Kylie’s blog.

The idea for this card came from Mojo Monday Sketches.  You can click on the photo below to play along.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I hope you were inspired to send a thank you card today to someone that has made a difference in your life.

Your BFF,
Jenn

Here’s a list of everything I used on today’s card.

Global Stamping Friends – Sketch Challenge!

Posted on

May the 4th be with you!  Just throwing that out there for some of my friends.  You know who you are!!! 😉

Hi BFF’s!  Doesn’t it feel like this year is just flying by?  It’s almost summertime!  I know in some areas it’s still snowing.  If that is you, I am very sorry.  What a winter it has been for some places around the world, but I can’t complain much here in San Diego, California.

Welcome to another blog hop with the Global Stamping Friends where demonstrators from all around the world are showcasing awesome Stampin’ Up! products!  This month we are working with a sketch.  I love sketch challenges.

Here is the sketch we are working with and here is what I came up with using some new, some retiring and some current products.  I really stuck to the sketch with the circle and stripes and accents.  I added some dimension with the Sparkle embossing folder.

I fell in love with this designer series paper called Painted With Love that is only available while supplies last.  The gold accents really caught my eye.  So I decided to stamp the circle and the sentiment using Versamark and heat embossing in Gold.  This circle came from a brand new not-yet-released stamp set called Swirly Frames.  It coordinates with the Circle and Square Framelits.  It will be available in the new catalog on June 1st so you’re getting a sneak peek. 🙂

I used a current bundle that will be carrying over into the new catalog.  It’s called Colorful Seasons.  The sentiment and the flowers are from this bundle.  The colors I used were Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride and Rich Razzleberry.

I added a thin strip of the designer series paper inside the card also to finish it off. 🙂

I hope you liked my card. Next up is Tricia.  I know you will enjoy what she has come up with.

Thanks for stopping by.  Below is a list of everything I used today on this card except for the Swirly Frames.  If you’d like to shop with me, click HERE and use the Hostess Code BNQEJNBK when you check out and I will send you a surprise in the mail.

Your BFF,
Jenn

Global Blog Hop #7: Sketch Challenge!

Posted on

Welcome to another month of the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop!  This month we’ve got a sketch challenge!  Here’s the sketch:

Here’s what I made:

It’s my dad’s birthday today, so I had made this card for him using the sketch.  I really like the stamp set, Guy Greetings because it sums up my dad perfectly.  He was always working on a car or fixing things around the house.  Yes, he really did teach me, righty-tighty, lefty-loosey!  And I’ve since taught my kids!   The argyle print in the Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper Stack is the perfect addition to a masculine card, in my opinion.  Love you DAD!

What can you create using this sketch? Leave a comment, along with a link to your blog and I’ll come check it out!

Tomorrow is my monthly Stamp Camp.  RSVP on the Event page over on the BFF Stampers facebook page if you’d like to join us.  This is the last month to enter to win the April Stamp Camp for FREE!  Just bring a new friend and you and your friend will get an entry into the raffle!

Shop my Stampin’ Up! store HERE and don’t forget to use Hostess Code: 3AGXYPCB and you will receive a surprise in the mail from me!

Don’t forget!  SALE-A-BRATION is still in full swing!  Check out the brochure of all the FREE exclusive items you can only get with a $50 purchase!  They’ve even added some new stuff!

Sale-A-Bration ends March 31, 2017!  You don’t want to miss out!

Hope to see you soon!!

Jenn

Mojo Monday 477 – Joyful Christmas

Posted on

Hi BFF’s!

I finally found some time to do a Mojo Monday Sketch.  This one is perfect for a Christmas card.  It went together fast because I used a coordinating designer series paper pack called This Christmas from Stampin’ Up!  I love this paper.  Here’s the sketch:

And here’s my take:

What I like most about sketch challenges is that you can flip the sketch around, replace embellishments with other embellishments and use any colors you want!  So everyone’s ideas are so different!  Click on the sketch and take a look at the Mojo Monday blog and all of the ideas and then make a card and link it to their blog!  This weeks challenge can win a prize!  Good luck!

Your BFF’s,

Jenn & Lisa
