RemARKably Created Blog Tour: Easter!

Posted on

Welcome to another month with us hopping around the Remarkably Creative Blog Tour.  You are visiting Jenn Charles @ BFF Stampers.  This month our theme is Easter.  I love Easter!  As a Christian, I believe that Jesus died to give me life.  Easter is when we celebrate this FREE gift God has given us.  How do you celebrate?

The cards that I’ve made are using the new Blossoming Basket stamp set.  This beautiful basket of flowers is perfect for an Easter card.  I’ve paired it here with Crumb Cake, Pink Pirouette and the Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper.

I’ve used the Pretty Label punch to punch out my sentiment and stick it under.

I “painted” on the ink by smooshing the ink pad and using the ink on the lid with a Wink of Stella as my “paintbrush”.  I love the glittery effect that Wink of Stella leaves on everything!  Pink Pirouette and Pear Pizzazz were the colors I used.  Then using my Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend, I colored the basket.  You need to use the Memento Black Ink Pad while using the alcohol markers or the stamped image will bleed. In this case, I stamped the basket in Crumb Cake itself and wanted it to bleed a little for a more textured look.

Here is more of a close-up of my card.  I sponged the pink Pretty Label Punch, the designer series paper and the white focal image cardstock all in Crumb Cake.  I used Linen Thread to tie the bow.

At Stamp Camp last night we made this set.

Here is another card with the same idea but using Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends and So Saffron card Base.  I used the Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on the crumb cake piece on the card and also on the basket.  This stamp set and embossing folder are a FREE Sale-A-Bration item you can earn with a $100 order.  I also used our Stampin’ Spritzer filled with alcohol and 10 drops of Daffodil Delight Re-inker to change the color of the Shreddie.  It comes in Berry Burst, Silver and White.  The dots on the background of the card is a stamp from Timeless Textures and the framelit I used to cut the Happy Easter sentiment on the basket is from Bunch of Banners Framelits.  And my friend Doris brought me these pretty tulips to class last night. Isn’t she sweet?

Last but not least I wanted to show you a card I made using the Hold on to Hope stamp set and Framelits Dies.  I did get this idea off of Pinterest but I can not re-find the card I cased to give credit.  So if this was your idea, thank you!

This card uses Berry Burst Metallic Edge Ribbon and Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The cross is cut from Silver Foil.  The sentiment says: Celebrating one of God’s most Remarkable Creations – and the inside says YOU!  I want each of you to take this card to heart because it is true!  You are Remarkable and made by God and He doesn’t make mistakes!  You are perfect in His eyes, just the way you are.

Thanks for hopping with us today!  Below is a full lineup of everyone with their Easter projects.  Remember, you are visiting Jenn Charles with BFF Stampers.  Praying you have a fantastic Easter surrounded by people you love.

National Craft Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the National Craft Month Blog Hop.  You are visiting Jenn Charles with BFF Stampers.  At the end of my post there will be a list of everyone who is crafting with me today.  Please take the time to hop along to the other wonderful crafters and see what they have made for you.

The month of March is full of Birthdays for our family.  We have three birthdays just in our household!  We love March around here. So I’ve made a birthday banner to decorate the house with for the month.  We will be eating a lot of cake and keeping the party going all month long!

I’ve used the colors So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz, Peekaboo Peach, and Pink Pirouette.  I thought the colors were Spring-y also. 🙂  I think I’ll add Easter to the back of the Birthday one to use it for that party also.

To help me celebrate my birthday this month, I’m having a Birthday Card Bash on March 30th at my house from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.  We will be making a stack of 9 birthday cards for $9. 3 each of 3 designs. RSVP on Facebook by March 27th.

Because it is my birthday, I’m offering a birthday gift to you during the month of March with any order!  That’s right!  I’m giving out birthday gifts for my birthday!  It will be a grab bag sort of fun stuff worth $10.

Thank you for joining me today.  Remember, you are visiting Jenn Charles at BFF Stampers.  Hop along and get your Craft On!

Your BFF,

Global Stamping Friends – Color Challenge

Posted on

Welcome to another month of creativity with the Global Stamping Friends.  You are at BFF Stampers with Jenn Charles in California, USA.  This month’s hop is a challenge featuring a Color Theme!

This Color Challenge was hard for me because I was in a springtime frame of mind and couldn’t wrap my mind around these colors.  Then I thought, they’d be beautiful with that Sale-a-Bration stamp set called Beautiful Peacock, but I don’t own that one yet..

So I really had to think on this one and this is what I came up with:

We have many, many birthdays to celebrate this month.  One of them is for a friend of ours who is turning 5!  He is going to love this card.

One of my favorite things to do is to make my background paper with stamps.  I do love our designer series paper but sometimes you need other themes and the best way to do that is to make it yourself.

Here’s a close up of the dino popped up using our dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed my card using the colors, Lemon Lime Twist, Island Indigo, and Early Espresso.  Speaking of Espresso, I think I’ll go make a coffee card for my nieces birthday which is next week.  Stay tuned all month for some exciting birthday offers!

Next up on the hop is Amanda Farlinger.  I can’t wait to see what’s she’s made.  There’s a list below of all the participants if you’d like to hop around. Happy Hopping!

Remarkably Created Blog Hop – Mix & Match Stampin’ Up!

Posted on

Welcome to another round of the Remarkably Creative Blog Tour.  The theme for the month is Mix & Match!  The objective is to show you just how compatible our mini catalogs are with our main annual catalog.  You are at Jenn Charles – BFF Stampers and if you’d like to hop around, the entire list of participants are listed below.  Thank you for joining us today.

I must admit, I had a hard time finding stepping out of my comfort zone to mix and match my sets.  I learned during this challenge that I am definitely a “keep your suites together” type of gal.  With the exception of sentiments, I rarely mix my sets together.  However, we have so much variety to offer in our catalogs that you are bound to find something that works just for you!

My first card features my absolute favorite designer series paper, Petal Passion along with my favorite In-Color this year, Berry Burst. The sentiment is from the Petal Palette stamp set.  These products are both featured in the Petal Passion Suite.  I pulled out the Oh, So Eclectic stamp set and thinlit dies and it all fell together perfectly.

I think that every color matches with this paper and you just can’t go wrong!  Of course I had to have Silver Glimmer Paper because I have to have bling!  I also embossed a few spots on the flowers with silver embossing powder just to add more glimmer.

After I got started, I couldn’t stop!  I pulled out the Waterfront Stamp Set to make some water to make a little lakeside scene to reflect Spring.  The chair, branch, flowers and sentiment all come from the Colorful Seasons Bundle.

The Waterfront Stamp Set is so versatile to make all different kinds of scenes depending on the colors you use.  I’ve used Soft Sky and Marina Mist for the water.  My flowers are Sweet Sugarplum and my chair is cut from the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper.

Start mixing and matching your stamp sets and papers.  You will come up with some unique and fun projects.

Just a reminder, you are with Jenn Charles at BFF Stampers.  Click on the next name below mine to continue getting ideas.  All of the products used today are at the bottom of the post.

Thanks for hopping by,
Your BFF,
