Casing the Catty-Stamp N’ Hop

Posted on

Hi Friends!  Thank for stopping by my blog.  You’re visiting Jenn Charles @ BFF Stampers.  Once again the Stamp N’ Hop group is getting together for a blog hop and this time it’s to CASE the Catty.  CASE means Copy and Share with Everyone!  We are choosing to CASE from the Annual Catalog to show it some love before the Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration start right after the New Year!  This year has gone by so fast!

One of my old favorites is the Daisy Delight Stamp Set and Daisy Punch.  It’s on page 123 of the Annual Catalog.  I love how Stampin’ Up! has provided “You Can Make It” catagories in our catalog.  It makes picking and choosing exactly what we need for a project, so much easier!  I’m making a set of 10 thank you notecards using our Subtles color family.

I hadn’t used all of the new colors from the Subtles yet and when I tried Balmy Blue, I fell in love!!!  I didn’t think I would like it because I was sad to see Marina Mist go.  Have you ever not liked something just because you were sad about the change?  We just moved and I kept complaining about our new house because I didn’t want to move in the first place.  I LOVED our old house.  But we rent and sometimes, people want their houses back for unforeseen reasons.  So we found another house to rent and we’ve been here a month and I can’t find anything to complain about!  Sometimes you just have to get over the change.  So regarding that, Balmy Blue is gorgeous!  LOL.

Thanks for hopping by.

Your BFF,
Jenn

Next up in the blog hop is Eva Pottsova.

Stampin’ Up!’s 30 Year Anniversary

Posted on

As you may have guessed, Stampin’ Up! is celebrating it’s 30th year of being in business. In fact, this week, demonstrators from around the world are all gathering together in Florida to celebrate!  It’s all because one woman never gave up on her dreams.  Her name is Shelli Gardner and she’s the co-founder of Stampin’ Up!  This company started in her home!  Because of her love of papercrafting, I get to make money, set my own hours and do what I love to do which is watch others enjoy it too.

Kylie’s challenge this month was to make a thank you card for Shelli telling her how much we appreciate her ambition and faith in starting this company.  I have so many friends I never would have met if it wasn’t for Stampin’ Up!  So here’s my card I’ll be sending out to Shelli.

I got a little out of my comfort zone on this card.  It has a lot of texture and “mess” as I would call it, but I kept thinking WWSD?  What would Shelli Do!?  She loves texture and she believes, more is better.  Once I got started I couldn’t stop!  I used the stamp set, All Things Thanks because as soon as I decided to make this card the phrase, Thanks for that thing you did was running through my mind.  It’s a perfect sentiment for what I want to tell Shelli.

Tip: You can color Rhinestones with Sharpie markers to make whatever color you need.

If you’d like to check out cards that other demonstrators made for Shelli then follow this link to Kylie’s blog.

The idea for this card came from Mojo Monday Sketches.  You can click on the photo below to play along.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I hope you were inspired to send a thank you card today to someone that has made a difference in your life.

Your BFF,
Jenn

Here’s a list of everything I used on today’s card.

Circles All Around – GSF Blog Hop

Posted on

Welcome to another Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop where Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the world come together to inspire you!

This month’s theme is circles.

This is my first time using this gorgeous paper and I wanted to use it all!  It has a iridescent shine to it that makes it really stand out.

For some reason, making a card with circles was very difficult for me.  After over an hour of agonizing on a card that wasn’t coming together, I gave up and made this in 5 minutes!  Ha!  So my advice today is stop overthinking!  I love love love this card.  It showcases the paper which is exactly what I was trying to do.  I hope you give this card a try.  Oh, and notice the Subtle Embossing on the Gray Granite cardstock.  I use this embossing folder on everything now!  Thanks for looking!

Every month I offer a FREE gift with a $50 order when you order online using that month’s Hostess Code. This month the FREE gift is Pearls. Use the hostess code GZETS2MD for November.

Exclusive for the month of November while supplies last is our Snowflake Showcase.  These coordinating products are beautiful!  My favorite is the charm-ing snowflake charms (ha!  See what I did there? 🙂 Click on any of the photos to be directed to my website for more info or to purchase.  Watch the video below to see some beautiful cards made with these new fun products.
