This week I spent some time making a Fall Wreath. I have seen this type of paper crafted wreath made for Halloween and Christmas. I wanted one for FALL! I love the Petals & Paisleys DSP from Stampin’ Up! It reminds me of the old Spice Cake DSP from 3 or 4 years ago. It just screams FALL!!! In my opinion!
So here is my interpretation of the wreath – made just for FALL!
I started with a simple 12 inch green floral foam circle. Each of the strips of paper is 1 inch x 12 inches. One thing I did learn – use the Triple Banner Punch and punch the flagged ends BEFORE wrapping it around the foam circle. I had some trouble getting my paper strips to stick to the foam. I ended up using small brads on the inside of the wreath to hold my strips in place. I suggest when sticking the strips of paper around the foam, make sure to put adhesive all the way down the strip of paper. Also, Watch how your wrap the paper to ensure your patter looks right side up. I used the new Copper Foil to cut out the FALL letters (Large Letter Thinlits), and I used the Leaflit Thinlits to cut out the fall leaves. Finally I stamped the Scarecrow from the new Halloween Cookie Cutter set and embossed him in the new Copper embossing powder.
And there you have it – my FALL Wreath! If you want to try making your own FALL Wreath below is the list of products from Stampin’ Up! that I used. Thanks for looking! Lisa
