Welcome to the Global Stamping Friends January 2023 Blog Hop! Today we are featuring anything New to us. The newest thing to me is products from the Sale-A-Bration brochure that just came out yesterday! I got some products and got to play and they are so fun! I’ve used two Sale-A-Bration products on this card today. The first is a new stamp set called Sending Support. It has great encouraging, supportive sentiments for friends going through a hard time. The other item I used is a new dsp. My favorite thing about designer series paper is that it can become a focal point for a card, and you only need a small sentiment, and the card is made! That’s what I’ve done here today. I really focused on this bold 12×12 dsp called Favored Flowers. It is a double-sided dsp that has huge colorful flowers on one side and the other side is a simple coordinating pattern.
Of course, the two coordinating pieces I wanted to use were on the same piece of paper. I wanted to save the paper and knew I was covering up the middle with a layer so I cut the piece right out of the background dsp, flipped it over, layered it on cardstock and covered up the hole. No one is the wiser! I use a lot of these paper saving tricks in my crafting.
I used the Rectangle Stitched Dies to cut the rectangle from the middle of the paper but you can barely see the stitches because of the patterns. You can just as easily use your paper trimmer.
Thank you for joining us today. I hope you hop along and see all the other crafters and get more ideas. Click on the arrow or use the blog roll below. Happy Stamping, Jenn

Your cards are beautiful and I like your tip about how you cut out the middles and used then with card stock to make both cards. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you.

That paper seemed so busy to me, and I’m not a flower person usually, so I just passed it by. But you’ve made a really beautiful card just pairing it with some coordinating cardstock, and a little greeting! Thanks for sharing 😀

I agree about the paper but I love how easy it is to make a card with the dsp being the focal piece. Thanks for stopping by!
