Hi Friends! Welcome to another round of Stamp ‘N Hop blog hop where demonstrators from around the world all get together for one cause: to inspire you! This month we are having fun with new products from the Holiday Catalog.
I chose to feature the stamp set So Santa which has a Santa that is whimsical and fun doing unconventional santa things like baking, motorscooting and my favorite, surfing!
We had a Holiday Extravaganza to kick off the new catalog and half the attendees received a gift. The way we decided who would win was by these adorable scratch-offs! They were so fun and easy to make.
Each person got a scratch-off and when scratched would reveal either Merry Christmas or Bah Humbug! You can probably guess who the winners were 🙂
I made these by printing the Merry Christmas or Bah Humbug onto Whisper White cardstock. You can also stamp a sentiment. Then I stamped the Santa and the HO! HO! HO! sentiment using Memento Ink. I colored them with the Stampin’ Blends, attached the scratch-off blue water and adhered the whole thing to a piece of Pool Party cardstock. Here are the directions on how to make the scratch-offs:
You will need:
– Clear Contact Paper (I got mine at the Dollar Store)
– Acrylic Paint
– Liquid Dish Soap
– Paint Brush (I used a foam paint brush)
Lay out the contact paper flat. I used rocks to keep mine from rolling back up. Mix 2 parts paint to 1 part dish soap. Using the paint brush, paint onto the contact paper. You will need at least 3-5 layers of paint letting it dry about 15 minuted in between coats or it will become very streaky. The darker the paint, the less layers you will need. I then let it dry overnight and the next morning I couldn’t help but scratch some off to make sure it worked 🙂
Using the Seasonal Layers Framelit Dies to cut the wave shape and then peeled off the back of the contact paper and stuck it onto the cardstock.
I hope you do give this homemade scratch-off a try. It is such a fun technique and a real wow to the people who receive it.

I am so honored to announce that I submitted a card into Kylie Bertucci’s International Highlights for November and won top 10! The link to that blog post is HERE. The reward is a special hop with just the top 10 submissions using the same theme: Love.
So today I’ve made a card using the Merry Cafe stamp set along with the Coffee Cafe set to make a gift card holder for a friend of mine. We both LOVE Starbucks and each other!
I embossed the sentiment and the heart using gold embossing powder. I love all the bling on this card.
The Coffee Break designer series paper is perfect with these little hearts to show my affection (for coffee) and my friend.
I hope you enjoyed my card. Thank you so much for voting for me so I can be in this special hop. Follow along in the lineup below and see what the other talented winners made.
Reminder!! Today is the day to reserve your Stamparatus! Log into your account and out in your credit card info. You will not be charged until it ships which should be in March or April depending on first reserved, first served.
Happy December! December! Already! Where has the year gone?
Welcome to this month’s Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop featuring Festive Celebrations! These ladies never cease to amaze me with their creativity and the projects they come up with every month.
For my project, I’ve come up with a card and tag idea with a coordinating box. I made it less feminine because it will be for my husband’s friend. Coming up with manly ideas is very hard for me. Do you struggle with that?
I coordinated them all using the Colorful Seasons Designer Series Pack. The Christmas tree came from our timeless Lovely as a Tree stamp set. It’s been around forever!
The Happy Christmas banner stamp is from a newer stamp set called Labels to Love. You can find a list of everything I used down below.
These boxes are really easy to make. They are very convenient for gift packaging year round, making them any size you need.
To make this box I used:
Thick Whisper White cardstock – 8×8 scored at 2 inches on all 4 sides.
Designer Series Paper – 6×6 scored at 1 inch on all sides.
Fold all the score lines. You will have 4 square corners on both pieces. Cut one side to the line and adhere it together. I like to use tear & tape so my box won’t dare to fall apart even with heavier items inside.
I CASE’d this card from a card in our Annual Catalog on Page 141 for the CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenge #156. I love challenging myself to come up with something new while also making it easier by using something already done! Does that make sense! LOL.
I hope you got some inspiration from my card and gift packaging idea today. Thank you for hopping along. Click on the NEXT arrow to check out the talented creations by Marieke Bart. There is a Roll call of everyone hopping today below for your convenience.
Welcome to the Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop for November 2017. This month our theme is Holiday Tags! You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – BFF Stampers or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.
Today I am showing you the gorgeous Be Merry Kit in the holiday catalog. They are beautiful to use as tags for gifts. They come in two different varieties and make a total of 12 rosettes. They have a circle to put on the back that you can write a To and From on for your recipient. They are currently on backorder but will be available tomorrow just in time for FREE SHIPPING cyber Monday!!! These photos do not do them justice. They are glittery and shiny in real life.
I made this gift bag using two 12 x 12 sheets of DSP from the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper. The colors in the rosettes are Old Olive and Real Red and the Old Olive one matches perfectly with this paper.
The kit is really easy to put together, all you need is a glue gun!
I’m having a class using this kit on December 8th from 7p.m. – 9p.m. at my house. You can order yours on cyber Monday and get FREE SHIPPING and bring it to the class. Please use the hostess code: NP7WAQ7M and I will send you a gift! Or you can order it from me for $25.
Here’s a video from Stampin’ Up! showing you how easy they are to put together.
