Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop for the month of August. You are visiting Jenn Charles in the USA. I am so pleased to announce that this month’s theme is a sketch challenge. I love sketches! I probably do most of my scrapbook layouts off some kind of a sketch.
This sketch was designed by Courtenay Heuston. Isn’t it a fantastic sketch! The fun thing about using a sketch is that it can be changed in so many ways. You can flip it around and take it from another angle or use bigger or smaller elements or photo spots. Especially this sketch! It has so many fun parts to it! I thought that this sketch was perfect exactly as it was so I didn’t change much up.
Thank you so much for hopping along with us today. Up next is Lisa Mackey. I can’t wait to see her take on this sketch. You can click the next button or go to the links below button around. Happy Stamping! Your BFF, Jenn
Welcome to my very first hop along with the Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hoppers. You are visiting Jenn Charles and I can’t wait to show you some of the old and some of the new product from the Holiday Catalog.
I truly can not get enough of the colors in the Snowflake Splendor designer series paper. I did a whole kit class for Christmas in July around this paper and some adorable snowman. But for today’s project, I paired it up with a stamp set that returned from last year called Christmas Gleaming. I love this set because as a bundle it comes with two ornament punches.
I stamped in versamark and embossed in white embossing powder directly on top of the designer series paper. Because I did that, I didn’t have to color anything and the colors match perfectly with the rest of the paper featured on the card. I also used a brand new stamp set called For Unto Us. I love this stamp set for sentiments that I believe bring out the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus Christ.
This new in-color, Misty Moonlight is beautiful paired here with Highland Heather. I just love that bold sentiment! And of course, I have to finish up the lyric of the song on the inside.
Thank you so much for hopping with me today. Now it’s time to get more inspiration from the other stampers that are part of this Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop by clicking on the Inlinkz link party button below. I can’t wait to see what they’ve made.
Welcome to this month’s Colour Combo Blog Hop. This is my first time participating and it was so challenging! You might be hopping over here from Anastasia’s blog if you are following along and now you are visiting Jenn Charles.
I’m going to take you through my process of how I mixed and matched these 3 colors together. I started with pattern paper first. There are so many gorgeous designer series paper in the new Holiday Catalog. The one I chose to use today is the Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP. What makes it so special is the copper foil and gold foil on some of the designs. I love autumn colors.
I knew when I saw this paper that I had to use that mint macaron piece for this color challenge.
Next up was stamp set to pick with it and then it was just a matter of which order to layer all the colors. Should I use a soft suede background? What color should the birds be, etc. Then it all just came together! I really like the outcome.
Thank you for hopping along with us. I hope you’ve been inspired to step out of your comfort zone and mix up some colors!
Next up is Tricia Butts. I can’t wait to see what she has made using these colors. See you soon, Your BFF, Jenn
Welcome to the monthly Stamp N’ Blog Hop. This month’s theme is all about our favorite bundles! You have just arrived from Stacey Marsh’s blog if you are hopping along in order. You are currently visiting Jenn Charles from the USA.
I’ve already posted a blog today regarding my favorite punch bundle so this time around I decided to go with my favorite die bundle. I have a couple favorites in this year’s annual catalog. The sunflowers for example are to die for but the one that I’ve been playing with the most lately is the Nothing’s Better Than bundle. You can mix and match the sayings to make it so much more fun!
This bundle is full of things I can’t live without. Between coffee, cookies, chocolate and cocktails, there is sure to be one thing in this set that is a must-have in your quarantine arsenal. I just realized all of these addictions start with the letter “C”…lol. Anyway, on to my card:
As you can see, the stamps have an outlined image and also a double step stamp image that fills in the outline so that you don’t have to color. Even the lime has a double step stamp but I colored mine in this time.
This is my first time cutting up the the Playing with Patterns designer series paper and it is so versatile. It has so many different patterns that you really can coordinate it with anything. I also used the Foam Adhesive Sheets to give the glittered word Cocktails some lift. I love them! They cut so easily on the die cut machine. I will definitely be using these more often. And speaking of the word cocktails, have you seen the beautiful Rainbow Glimmer paper? It’s a must-have!
I hope you got some inspiration from these cocktails! Mine are non-alcoholic but they are still just as refreshing. For a list of everything used on today’s card, please scroll down.
Thank you so much for hopping along with us today. Up next is Sandra Herzog. I’m sure she picked a bundle that I must have! P.S. My addiction is coffee but I wanted to change it up to something more colorful…hahaha.
