Valentine treats and other Stampin’ Up! stuff

Happy Valentine’s Day!

My kids have their parties at school today so of course we made valentines to pass out to everyone.  My daughter Emily made hers from the January Paper Pumpkin.  I had her use a different ribbon because I wanted to hoard keep the ribbon that came with the kit for myself.  Metallic Edge ribbon, yes please! It’s so beautiful!  Here’s the kit and what is looks like according to the directions.  The refill kit is still available for purchase for Paper Pumpkin subscribers.  I think it could be used for any occasion.

Here’s what Emily did with hers.

We not only used the stamp set from this Paper Pumpkin but also used the stamp set from last year’s Valentine Paper Pumpkin set. I liked the saying: For an Amazing Friend.  This kit had 16 Valentines in it so we had to use more than one kit.  With the extras, I made gifts for my Awana kids for tonight.  We also altered the Paper Pumpkin box for her Valentine holder at school.

Alex made these easy Valentines for his Kindergarten class.

This morning was super busy packing all our valentine’s and party snacks and doing Emily’s hair.

After I dropped them off at school, I stopped by Duncan Donuts to buy these treats that will be waiting for them (if I don’t eat them first!).  I do not feed my kids donuts before school because I like their teachers and I want their teachers to continue to like me!  LOL

Paper Pumpkin is celebrating it’s 5 year anniversary!  I’m so excited to see the 5 year anniversary box with a FREE gift in it.  When you purchase a 3-month Paper Pumpkin subscription during Sale-A-Bration, you can receive a FREE Sale-A-Bration item!  It’s a win-win!

Starting on the 16th, three new must-have Sale-A-Bration items are coming out. Take a look here.  Here are a few samples I have already:

After the 16th, you can get these SAB items for FREE with a $50 or $100 order BUT if you can’t wait to have them, you can purchase them now in a demonstrator kit for $99.  You will receive $125 worth of product of your choice for just $99 in addition to FREE shipping!  You can add the new items in your kit and not have to wait to earn them, but only through the 15th!  Sign up here.

I pray you all have a fantastic Valentine’s Day.  We can’t wait to see what Daddy brings home for all of us!  Didn’t I tell you, Valentine’s Day is all about my expectations! LOL

Keep Crafting!

Jenn

Remarkably Created Blog Hop – Mix & Match Stampin’ Up!

Posted on

Welcome to another round of the Remarkably Creative Blog Tour.  The theme for the month is Mix & Match!  The objective is to show you just how compatible our mini catalogs are with our main annual catalog.  You are at Jenn Charles – BFF Stampers and if you’d like to hop around, the entire list of participants are listed below.  Thank you for joining us today.

I must admit, I had a hard time finding stepping out of my comfort zone to mix and match my sets.  I learned during this challenge that I am definitely a “keep your suites together” type of gal.  With the exception of sentiments, I rarely mix my sets together.  However, we have so much variety to offer in our catalogs that you are bound to find something that works just for you!

My first card features my absolute favorite designer series paper, Petal Passion along with my favorite In-Color this year, Berry Burst. The sentiment is from the Petal Palette stamp set.  These products are both featured in the Petal Passion Suite.  I pulled out the Oh, So Eclectic stamp set and thinlit dies and it all fell together perfectly.

I think that every color matches with this paper and you just can’t go wrong!  Of course I had to have Silver Glimmer Paper because I have to have bling!  I also embossed a few spots on the flowers with silver embossing powder just to add more glimmer.

After I got started, I couldn’t stop!  I pulled out the Waterfront Stamp Set to make some water to make a little lakeside scene to reflect Spring.  The chair, branch, flowers and sentiment all come from the Colorful Seasons Bundle.

The Waterfront Stamp Set is so versatile to make all different kinds of scenes depending on the colors you use.  I’ve used Soft Sky and Marina Mist for the water.  My flowers are Sweet Sugarplum and my chair is cut from the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper.

Start mixing and matching your stamp sets and papers.  You will come up with some unique and fun projects.

Just a reminder, you are with Jenn Charles at BFF Stampers.  Click on the next name below mine to continue getting ideas.  All of the products used today are at the bottom of the post.

Thanks for hopping by,
Your BFF,
Jenn

Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop – Valentines!!!

Posted on

Welcome to the Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop for January 2018. This month our theme is Valentines!  You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Jenn Charles @ BFF Stampers or may have come from the person previous to me on the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

I’m not very big on Valentine’s Day.  I’m not exactly sure why except that I’ve never been a mushy gushy show-your-love type of gal.  I married a man who is exactly like me.  Usually hubby will bring home a flower and a card for each of our daughters (we have 3) and a manly (ninja turtles or whatever is in style that year) box of candy for our son.  I get flowers and a card.  It’s all very ritualistic.  I think I’d rather him surprise me with some flowers on a random day, because unfortunately, I have come to expect to receive something and then it loses it’s meaning, doesn’t it?  I’m sure I’m overthinking it all.

So anywho, on to my card.  I’m still using the Petal Palette set.  I absolutely love it.  I’ve made a card showcasing my love for this set.  HAHA.  Just kidding.  I will probably give this card to my hubby on Valentine’s Day, because it’s expected.

The colors I used were Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette, Black and White.

I hope you like my card and are inspired with a non-Valentiney Valentine’s Day card.

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don’t want to miss. Remember that currently, you are on my blog – Jenn Charles @ BFF Stampers, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next on the list.
