Global Stamping Friends – Occasions Catalog Blog Hop

Posted on

Welcome to January 2018 Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop!  We are showing off new items for the new spring catalog, Occasions and the Sale-A-Bration mini!  Don’t forget, for every $50 you spend, you receive an item free in the Sale-A-Bration catalog!

There are so many beautiful sets in this catalog.  I’ve chosen Waterfront.

It has such a great scenic look and it is so easy!

Isn’t it pretty? I’ve used some Wink of Stella on the water to make it sparkly.

If you haven’t had a chance to see the new Occasions Catalog click HERE and the Sale-A-Bration mini is HERE.

All About Flowers!!

Posted on

Hi BFF’s!  I’ve been so busy with Christmas card making classes that I haven’t taken a lot of time to make Christmas gifts for people.  We also have five birthdays in December so I need to make those gifts too!  So busy!  I haven’t even started my shopping for my kids yet.

Today I’m taking time out from Christmas to make a thank you card for a teacher.  She has gone above and beyond for my son and I’m so happy he has her this year.  My son is a little rambunctious but this teacher loves him anyway.

I’m loving these colors together.  I’ve used the Oh, So Eclectic stamp set and thinlets and really, the thinlets are what make this bundle worth it.  They are gorgeous!  This isn’t even all the pieces.  Take a look:

I Heart this bundle.

I also have some sneak peeks for you of flowery items from the 2018 Occasions catalog that goes live on January 4th.

Flowers, flowers, everywhere!

These beautiful flowers are on a black and white designer series paper pack called Petal Passion.  The whole suite is gorgeous.  I colored this paper using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers.  Doesn’t it look like it was printed that way?  Definitely a favorite of mine.

This next card comes from a new All-Inclusive Kit called Lots of Happy Card Kit.  It makes 20 cards in different sizes.  It’s a kit you color with watercolor pencils so it comes with 4 pencils.  My favorite part is that 2 of the pencils are colors exclusive to this kit!  It’s so pretty!

I can’t show you everything but I want to!  If you’d like a 2018 Occasions catalog and you do not have a demonstrator, I would love to give you one!

Do you want the perks of being able to pre-buy from the catalog before anyone else?  Sign up to be on Team BFF and we can create fun things together!

I hope you liked the cards today.  I gotta get back to making Christmas gifts!

Merry Christmas,

Your BFF,

Jenn

International Highlights December Winners Blog Hop – Love Again!

Posted on

I am so honored to announce that I submitted a card into Kylie Bertucci’s International Highlights for November and won top 10!  The link to that blog post is HERE. The reward is a special hop with just the top 10 submissions using the same theme: Love.

So today I’ve made a card using the Merry Cafe stamp set along with the Coffee Cafe set to make a gift card holder for a friend of mine.  We both LOVE Starbucks and each other!

I embossed the sentiment and the heart using gold embossing powder. I love all the bling on this card.

The Coffee Break designer series paper is perfect with these little hearts to show my affection (for coffee) and my friend.

I hope you enjoyed my card.  Thank you so much for voting for me so I can be in this special hop.  Follow along in the lineup below and see what the other talented winners made.

Your BFF,

Jenn

Global Stamping Friends – Festive Celebrations

Posted on

Happy December!  December! Already!  Where has the year gone?

Welcome to this month’s Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop featuring Festive Celebrations!  These ladies never cease to amaze me with their creativity and the projects they come up with every month.

For my project, I’ve come up with a card and tag idea with a coordinating box.  I made it less feminine because it will be for my husband’s friend.  Coming up with manly ideas is very hard for me.  Do you struggle with that?

I coordinated them all using the Colorful Seasons Designer Series Pack.  The Christmas tree came from our timeless Lovely as a Tree stamp set.  It’s been around forever!

The Happy Christmas banner stamp is from a newer stamp set called Labels to Love.  You can find a list of everything I used down below.

These boxes are really easy to make.  They are very convenient for gift packaging year round, making them any size you need.

To make this box I used:
Thick Whisper White cardstock – 8×8 scored at 2 inches on all 4 sides.
Designer Series Paper – 6×6 scored at 1 inch on all sides.
Fold all the score lines. You will have 4 square corners on both pieces.  Cut one side to the line and adhere it together.  I like to use tear & tape so my box won’t dare to fall apart even with heavier items inside.

I CASE’d this card from a card in our Annual Catalog on Page 141 for the CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenge #156.  I love challenging myself to come up with something new while also making it easier by using something already done! Does that make sense!  LOL.

I hope you got some inspiration from my card and gift packaging idea today.  Thank you for hopping along.  Click on the NEXT arrow to check out the talented creations by Marieke Bart.  There is a Roll call of everyone hopping today below for your convenience.

Your BFF,

Jenn
