Global Stamping Friends – One Year Anniversary Blog Hop

Posted on

Hi BFF’s!!

Can you believe that we have all been hopping together on the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop for one whole year already!  It doesn’t seem that long.  I’m starting to realize that the older I get, the faster time goes.  It’s slipping by.  I’ve been feeling kind of sentimental lately.  However, today is a day of celebration!  A celebration of friendships made over the course of a year because of a common passion of papercrafting.

Stampin’ Up!’s statement of the heart is ‘To Love what we do and Share what we love as we help other Enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments…In this we make a difference’.

I believe we have done this globally by sharing this blog hop together.  I’ve made friends from all over the world!  I would have never done that if I hadn’t started stamping with this company.

So my card is a friendship card.  I want to say THANK YOU to all my new friends I’ve made over the last year and to all my customers who encourage me everyday to keep sharing what I love.

I’ve used the Coffee Cafe stamp set because I love the friendship sentiment in it.  And if you know me, you know I absolutely LOVE coffee!  Everyone loves their coffee made differently, from straight black (that’s me!) to barely brown at all because it’s so flavored up.  I believe all of us are like coffee, completely different in our styles or flavors of crafting but with the same base, Stampin’ Up!

I used the glossy white cardstock to watercolor my frappacino.  This was my first time using it and I was pleasantly surprised at how fast it dried.  I love the look it gave my ‘plastic’ cup.  It’s hard to see in the photo.

Thank you for hopping along with me today.  Click the NEXT button to visit the creative Rachel.

Global Stamping Friends – Bloghop 12 – Kids Cards

Posted on

Welcome to another Blog Hop with the Global Stamping Friends, where Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the world come together to post ideas on a monthly theme.  This month the theme is Kids Cards.  I always need kids cards.  I have 4 kids of my own and they are always coming to me last minute asking for a birthday card for a friend.  I have teenagers that always want something “cool” and then I have grade school kids that want something fun.  Today I have made a card using the stamp set No Bones About It because this dinosaur set screams “Kid” to me!

I used a new In-Color Lemon Lime Twist and love it with the Marina Mist and Smoky Slate.

Thanks for hopping by my blog.

Global Friends Bloghop – Holidays with a Twist

Posted on

Hi BFF’s!  Welcome to this month’s Global Friends Bloghop where demonstrators from around the world all participate in a theme and give you ideas to use with all those wonderful stamp sets you buy.

We’ve been very busy this summer. We haven’t even had time to go to the beach yet. The summer is flying by. The only good part about that is that Christmas is closer. Today’s hop is using a stamp set that is not necessarily for holidays and making it a holiday card. I used two sets to do just that.

This little tree reminded me of the Christmas tree from Charlie Brown.  I’ve used the branch from the new set Colorful Seasons and the grass and ornament from the stamp set, High Tide.  The good thing about photopolymer stamps is that you can bend them when you put them on the clear block.  That’s how I got the tree to curve under the weight of the ornament.  The sentiment is from the winter set called Flurry of Wishes.

I did have to do another card for my son.  Since I had bought the Coffee Cafe’ set, my son has seen a poop in the whipped cream.  He’s 5 and since we are not very mature around here, I thought I’d make a card for him using it.  The sentiment is not Stampin’ Up! but I’ve used it for years at my Christmas parties for favors and gifts.

Click Next to go on check out Lou Kitzelman’s Twist on the Holiday.  There’s a list of people below if you’ve missed any.  Thanks for hopping by!

Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop 10 – Hello New Friends!

Posted on

Hello and Welcome back to another Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop!  This hop is extra special because it’s introducing the new Stampin’ Up! ANNUAL CATALOG!!!  As a demonstrator, I was able to pre-order certain items to showcase to you guys when the catalog launched and I have some very exciting stuff to share!

My absolute favorite item from the new catalog is the Wood Textures Suite.  There are so many fun elements to this suite!

A fellow demonstrator and friend Dawn and I are hosting a Bingo Catalog Launch on Sunday and I’ve made 32 of these crates from the Wood Crate Framelit Dies for placeholders.  I think our friends will love them!  What do you think?

I love the distressed look in the solid stamped images in this set.

Here’s a look at the variety of wood papers in the 6×6 Wood Textures Designer Series Pack.

Here is a card I’ve made using the new In-Color Berry Burst and the flowers from the Wood Words set.  This is my favorite new In-Color.  This card is also using a new stamp set called Ribbon of Courage.  The sentiments in it are lovely and it has the ribbon of support in it.  Patty Bennett got to design it for being a Million Dollar Achiever.  What stamp set would you design if you got the chance?

Here’s a video all about the Wood Textures Suite from Stampin’ Up!

Thanks for joining me today and if you are not attending the Bingo and would like your catalog, contact me today!!!  Shop here and use the Hostess Code HACEUT2H during the month of June to receive a free gift in the mail from me!

Next Up on the Blog Hop is Angelique Nederpel.

Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop 9

Posted on

Welcome to another month of the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop!  This blog hop is titled Sorry You’re Leaving.  We are picking our favorite items that are retiring from the last catalog to make room for brand new items in the new catalog coming out June 1st.  Thank you for joining us.  Make sure you hop around to all the blogs to see projects made with these “have to have” items before they sell out!

First on my list of favorite retiring items is Gorgeous Grunge.  I have used this stamp set in so many projects.  It is a great background stamp to break up white space.  It always adds just what I need to a project.  Here I have it paired with another of my favorite retiring items Petite Petals.  Petite Petals is one of my favorites because it has a punch!  It’s quick and easy and makes such a great addition to any card.  And the punch is on sale!

I used Gorgeous Grunge to make the strip of pattern paper on the card and the splash behind it.  I’ve also used the Crumb Cake Note Cards and Envelopes. They are a great neutral to pair up with almost any other color. I use them a lot to make card sets as gifts for teachers and gift card holders.  The crumb cake note cards are retiring but we will still be carrying White Note Cards and Vanilla Note Cards.

Next on my list is the Made with Love stamp set, Something for Baby stamp set and coordinating framelits.  I’ve used these on so many children’s cards, baby cards, baby shower cards, invitations and gifts.  This is definitely a keeper!

I made this cute card set with thank you cards because what new mother doesn’t need thank you cards?!

Did you notice that I also used Gorgeous Grunge on these cards.  I LOVE Gorgeous Grunge!  Anyway, the last project I made uses two retiring items.  The Decorative label punch and the Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamp set.

The watercolor swish in the Perpetual Birthday Calendar set is a go-to for so many things!  I’ve used it here as the sky.  It’s subtle but  beautiful!  Can you see where I’ve used the Decorative Label Punch?  At the bottom to make the “legs” of my folding screen.  The trees are from the Sheltering Tree and it’s NOT retiring yet!

Thank you for hopping along with me today.  Thankfully I’m not crying too hard over here because I already own all of these favorites.  The retiring list is while supplies last so don’t miss out!  I am offering a free gift to anyone who orders using the hostess code: 4Z3AYGQ during the month of May.  Next up is Ilse from the Netherlands with her wonderful projects! TGIF Challenge – Scrapbooking!

Posted on

Happy Fri-YAY!

Click the pic to join the challenge!

I joined the TGIF Challenge today with the fun theme of Polka Dots and I was going to make a card but then my son came into the house with a ladybug on his face!  A beautiful polka dotted ladybug.  And I took pictures and then I wanted to scrap them!  I wanted to make a page and hang it up for my son to see.  So I did.

When I first started paper-crafting (10 years ago) my focus was scrapbooking.  I scrapbooked all the time.  In fact, I made my now 7 year old daughter’s entire baby album while I was pregnant!  Then she was born and 2 years later, I had my son, and I just didn’t have the time anymore.  I would only scrapbook at the retreats once a year and it wasn’t fun.  The camaraderie, a BLAST, but the actual scrapbooking, a chore.  I continued to attend Stamp Camps at my friend’s house.  She was a Stampin’ Up! consultant.  As my kids got older, she let me help her prep for classes and I learned to love that part of it.  The cutting, the prepping, the organizing became my passion.  But then she decided to pursue another passion, sewing.  I wanted to sign up and become a demonstrator for Stampin’ Up! but I didn’t think I could do it by myself.  A year and a half ago, my BFF Lisa and I decided to join together and start up BFF Stampers.  I was so happy to host classes and get back to prepping for card kits.  But I still never got back into scrapbooking…until today.  A few of my customers have been asking about scrapbooking.  They want to scrapbook but they want to scrapbook together.  We want to be with friends and that’s mostly what makes it fun!

So I’m going to start a Scrap Class specific to scrapbooking.  Kind of like a stamp camp, but specific to memory keeping.  If you are interested in this type of class, let me know!  Tell me when is a good time to meet and I’ll go with the majority.  I think there’s about 5 of us interested right now.  And if you have friends that like to scrapbook, pass along the info.  The more the merrier!

After I got the Bug page done, the Easter page just fell together.  I guess I just needed to get my groove back.  I made a double layout for Easter with one page as a traditional page and one page as a pocket page.  I usually do the traditional 12 x 12.  What sizes and styles do you do?

I still need to print my pictures for these ones.  I made the eggs using the Balloon Adventures stamp set and the balloon bouquet punch.  I just trimmed off the bottom of the balloon and turned them upside down 🙂

Mojo Monday 493

Posted on

I hope everyone had a great Easter.  We sure did.  The kids and I went to church and enjoyed service and then came home to a ham baking, thanks to hubby.  My mom and Grandmother came over along with my brother and his crew.  He’s got 3 girls and 1 boy like I do so Alex has at least one boy to play with him. They pulled out the slip and slide and had a blast.  Then they all hunted for Easter eggs and ate candy all night.  By the time they fell asleep, they were exhausted!

I’m working on an Easter scrapbook page and since I haven’t scrapped in awhile, it’s not coming easily anymore!  So I decided to take a break and do this weeks Monday Mojo card.  I’m using Mint Macaron again in this card.  If you don’t already have this color, get it before it’s gone!  It’s on the retiring list while supplies last.

Here’s the Monday Mojo Sketch.  Click on the photo if you’d like to play along yourself on their blog.

Here’s my take on the sketch.

I used the Swirly Bird bundle on my card.  The stamp set and the thinlets are not retiring, however, the bundle of them being sold together is retiring so get it while you still can at 10% off!  I like how this stamp set has the splatter of dots also.  I had never noticed it before because I always use my absolute favorite, Gorgeous Grunge.  It is retiring and I’m so glad I own it.  I can not live without it!  Grab the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set before it’s gone.  You will not regret it.  The greeting is a sneak peek from a new stamp set called Ribbon of Courage coming out on June 1st.  It’s beautiful and has a few beautiful sayings in it.  I hope you liked my card.

SUO Challenge #172

Posted on

I entered this challenge because the theme is Sympathy and Caring and I have been meaning to make a card for my Grandmother because last week my Grandpa passed away. He had been sick and it was expected but it still leaves a hole in us, doesn’t it?

My Grandmother is not big on attention or sympathy for herself so my card is more just a, I love you and I’m here for you all the time type card. I love her so much and I really miss my Grandpa already. I don’t share a lot of personal stuff so excuse me this time around.

I hope you get inspiration from my card. It’s using one of my favorite colors that is retiring this year and I’m kinda sad about it, Mint Macaron.

Here is a link to the retiring list.  It is *While Supplies Last* so don’t wait too long!  The new Catalog comes out on June 1st.

Thanks for stopping by,

Your BFF,

Jenn

I’m excited that it’s time once again for the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop!  It runs the first Friday of the month and the projects that you see are from Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all around the globe using a common theme.

This month our theme is: OUR FAVORITE BUNDLE!

I had such a hard time choosing this time around because I have a few favorites right now.  But the one that is most fun to use currently is the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle.  This dragonfly set makes the most beautiful cards and there are so many different ways you can stamp the dragonfly or cut the dies.  Here are a few examples of cards I’ve made using this set:

Tomorrow I am attending OnStage Local here in San Diego and demonstrators from all over are getting sneak peeks of the new Annual Catalog that comes out in June.  I’m so excited to see the new bundles that will be available.  They’ve already given us some peeks at new In-Colors 2017-2019.  Hint: They are in the OnStage letters! SShhhh…

So pretty!  And one suite called Eastern Palace.  Amazing things done with that bundle already!

Don’t forget to sign up for Paper Pumpkin before April 10th to receive the FREE gift Sara has included in this anniversary box!  Sara designed it herself and you won’t want to miss out on all the goodness. Click on the photo below to sign up!  “Bold, vibrant, and artistic—with a little bit of sass,” is how Stampin’ Up! CEO Sara Douglass described the kit she designed for the April Paper Pumpkin.

I hope you get some inspiration from these dragonflies.  Up next is the amazing Marieke Bart with her favorite bundle.  If you need to go back, click previous to see Angélique Stempelkeuken.  Thanks for hopping with us!
